Rotation Engineering requested that DXM Design Works develop an assembly fixture for two of their products: T47 and BSA bottom bracket cups. DXM identified the critical considerations for the design of the fixture and developed a CAD model and technical drawings for the design. After confirming with the customer, DXM fabricated the fixture and validated that it functioned in the desired manner. Both SKUs can be assembled without readjusting the stroke depth on the press–increasing assembly efficiency and reducing labor cost.
